Dr Prab Prabhakar is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Lecturer in Paediatric Neurology at UCL Institute of Child Health.
He qualified from Madras University in Chennai in 1993. He underwent training in Paediatric Neurology in London and was appointed as a consultant in 2007. He is a general neurologist who sees a wide variety of childhood neurological illness including epilepsy, stoke, demyelinating disorders, head injury (both accidental and non-accidental), multidisciplinary assessment of complex neurometabolic and genetic conditions across the age range. He runs the largest specialist Children’s Headache service in the UK.
Dr Prab Prabhakar works closely with the team at LCU. He particularly undertakes neurological and neurodevelopment assessments for children with craniofacial disorders and undertakes assessments for epilepsy and headaches in children pre and post-surgery. He undertakes neurological assessments of swallow and speech in children with complex craniofacial conditions, by working closely with a team of speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, audiologists and neurophysiologists.

Dr Nagi can see children with fever, tonsillitis, cough and cold, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, migraine, constipation, urine infection, chest infection, muscle pain, body aches, developmental delay, learning difficulties, skin rashes, vaccination, loss of weight or not gaining weight, joint and limbs pain and any other general pain and new born babies with any problems.
Dr Nagi has particular expertise and a special interest in epilepsy (simple and complex), developmental delay, acuteneurology, headache, migraines, muscle pain, and neurodisability/neurorehab.
